Basic Course
This course introduces the student to ECPINS® and demonstrates how to use it for the
navigation of the ship, which includes monitoring the ship’s progress, adjusting the display,
responding to alarms, plotting routes, and keeping the system operating as needed. Lessons
consist of those covered in Introduction to ECPINS®, plus:
- System overview
- Chart loading and display
- Plotting a route
