Marine Atlantic, a Canadian Federal Crown Corporation, provides marine transportation across the Cabot Strait to Newfoundland, Labrador and mainland Canada. The company owns and operates four vessels – three passenger ferries and one commercial freight vessel. The three passenger ferries sail two routes: a year-round Port aux Basques, Newfoundland to North Sydney, Nova Scotia and a summer route between Argentia, Newfoundland and North Sydney, Nova Scotia.

Offshore Systems has supplied our ECPINS^® 5000 to three of Marine Atlantic’s commercial ferries, the M/V Lief Ericson, M/V Joseph and Clara Smallwood and M/V Caribou.

As a customer since 2002, Marine Atlantic has worked continuously with us to outfit their vessels with the latest software upgrades and hardware accessories, as well as personnel training.

Ongoing feedback from the crew illustrates that ECPINS is an invaluable tool for safe navigation with its advanced route planning, bridge monitoring and real time position capabilities.
