OSI's COP-IDS completes successful demonstration at major international defense event

Vancouver, Canada — Offshore Systems International Ltd (OSI) (TSX: OSI / OTCBB: OFSYF) announced today that the Company has completed its participation in the Joint Warrior Interoperability Demonstration (“JWID”) event hosted by the U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

JWID is an annual event where the U.S and international military community evaluate new technologies to significantly improve coalition interoperability. This year’s event also included civilian agencies in support of homeland security. During the simulations COP-IDS™ provided a web-based map server which obtained simulation data from a variety of sources and combined it with current land and marine mapping data. COP-IDS’ real-time display was distributed via the JWID network to end users around the world, improving operation planning and execution effectiveness.

“COP-IDS™ received excellent international exposure through JWID,” said John Jacobson, President and CEO of OSI. “COP-IDS™ performed strongly, exceeding JWID participants’ expectations. The feedback from JWID participants was very positive, reinforcing our belief there is strong demand within the command and control community for COP-IDS.”

“COP-IDS™ performed very well in the JWID exercise,” said Paul Morin, J2 IM 4 Capabilities Development and Transition. “We were very impressed with COP-IDS™’ speed and ability to integrate our data sets better than any web-based map server we have seen. The response time was much better than anticipated and COP-IDS™ outperformed all of our web-based map servers.”
