Offshore Systems Appoints Peter W. Roberts, CFO of Sierra Wireless, to Board of Directors
Vancouver, Canada -- Mr. Raymond W. Johnston, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Offshore Systems International Ltd. (OSI) (TSX: OSI, OTCBB: OFSYF), is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Peter W. Roberts to the Company's Board of Directors and its Audit Committee.

"He brings a great range of international business experience and relationships to OSI, as well as considerable expertise in financial reporting and the operational hurdles of an emerging company. I am confident that he will bring a valuable perspective to the Board."
Mr. Roberts said, "I believe that OSI is very well positioned to capitalize on the growing need for situational awareness computer systems. Mr. Roberts is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Sierra Wireless, Inc., a Vancouver based company listed on the TSX and NASDAQ and was recently been appointed to the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia. Prior to joining Sierra Wireless, Inc. in 1997, Mr. Roberts served in senior financial positions over a period of 15 years with Service Corporation UK plc, The Loewen Group Inc., Overwaitea Foods and Sydney Development Corporation. Prior to embarking on his corporate career, Mr. Roberts spent ten years in the practice of public accounting.
Mr. Roberts, a resident of Vancouver, is a Chartered Accountant in good standing in the province of British Columbia. He also holds equivalent professional designations in the United States and the UK.
